St Chad's Pupil Goes to Live8
Eight of the richest countries in the world all held concerts to raise awareness of the terrible wave of extreme poverty that has swept Africa. And an estimated three billion people watched this major global event. I spoke to Joe about the concert: "The atmosphere at Live8 was electric. As soon as the Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club band started I knew it was something special. All the artists that were on were superstars and I felt special and privileged to be a part of it." " Who were the highlights?" "It has to be Pink Floyd and The Who. they just blew me away right from the first note." " How were the crowd for you?" "They were ok as the night went on, but people brought their shopping to the event, which I found rather random and strange. And they even went home before the night had even really started." by Callum Priestley |
