The good shepherd appeal has now started in school and we have just 5 weeks to raise £1,500, which is a total of £37.50 per tutor. That may seem alot but that is just £1.50 per person, about the same amount of money you spend on chocolate in a week.

To raise the money the RE department has asked each tutor group to come up with ideas that will help us to reach our target. So far there is a dance competition and cake sale held in the lecture theater. Also a sponsored party. You can see how well the money raising is going by looking at the chart by the reception, this is updated everytime money is given to the good shepherd appeal. It currently stands at approximately £250, so thank you to everyone helping to make this good start.

The money that is raised goes to the Catholic Children’s Society in the Shrewsbury Diocese. It is used to help children who maybe have family problems or just need support, whether that be somewhere to stay or eat maybe even for clothes. With the money you raise the Good Shepherd Appeal can give all of these things to the people who need it most. So keep thinking in your tutors for ideas that will help you raise your £37.50 and help the Good Shepherd Appeal.
