Good Shepherd Appeal 2008

In the six weeks leading up to Easter St. Chad’s had a whole school focus on raising money for those who really need it.
Each tutor group was given a target of £65 to raise over the six weeks, in order to raise £2750 as a whole school.  St. Chad’s smashed this target raising over £3100!

Events to raise money included: cake sales, football tournaments, fancy dress, face painting, sponsored events, leg-waxing, ‘sit in a box’ day and a ‘back-to-front uniform’ day.|

Stuart Holland, School Chaplain: ‘I am extremely proud of our pupils for their hard work and commitment in raising money for good causes.  We set a high target of £2750, thinking this probably wouldn’t be reached.  To raise this and more is fantastic, the pupils never cease to amaze me.  Credit should be given to tutors too for their support and organisation of events.’

The money raised will be split between, St. Chad’s partner school in Kenya, The Catholic Childrens’ Society in Runcorn, and 8 of our pupils from St. Chad’s going to help the sick and elderly in Lourdes in the summer.
