Why study GCE Business Studies?
This specification has been produced to enable business to be studied in a methodical and business-like manner and has been designed to:

  • Enable candidates to focus on the dynamic nature of the Contemporary business world.
  • Provides opportunities for research into topical business.
  • Offer opportunities for the development and application of full range of academic skills.


The course covers all aspects of business, but essentially looks at setting up a new business, marketing and finance of a business, communication and the economy.  It is ideal for those wishing to study business at a higher level and business is a key feature of many university degree courses.
